Brian Perry
Senior Vice President & General Manager

Brian Perry is the Senior VP/GM of the Defense Solutions Division at Curtiss-Wright Corporation, which includes responsibility for multiple business units located in several countries across North America and Europe. His portfolio includes advanced and highly engineered defense electronics solutions that enhance the safety, security, and performance of the most demanding defense and aerospace applications. These extremely rugged Modular Open System Approach (MOSA) solutions are widely deployed on manned and unmanned rotorcraft, fixed wing aircraft, ground vehicles, and naval platforms. Mr. Perry is responsible for all aspects of the business, including business development, program management, engineering, and manufacturing operations. He brings extensive experience in technology development, systems integration, and operations management, and has demonstrated success in business integration and growth.

Prior to joining Curtiss-Wright, Mr. Perry held various senior leadership roles at Mercury Systems, Suntron Corporation, Trilogic Systems, Lockheed Martin, and General Electric Aerospace. Mr. Perry holds a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a Master of Science studies in controls engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MBA in Management of Technology from the McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University. He is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.

Kathy Barron
Vice President Finance and Segment Controller

Kathy has more than 20 years of experience with technology companies and over 15 years of experience in the defense industry. She graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Carleton University. Kathy began her career with Deloitte in Assurance and Advisory and received her CPA in 2000. Before joining Curtiss-Wright, she was the Assistant Controller for Mitel Networks. 

Kathy joined Curtiss-Wright in 2006 as the Assistant Controller and has held various progressive roles throughout her career. Kathy is currently the Vice President of Finance and Segment Controller for Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions.

Robert F. Coveny
Vice President Business Development, Sales & Marketing

Bob Coveny is the Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions VP of Business Development (BD), Sales, and Marketing, overseeing the efforts of the Global BD, Sales & Marketing teams in the U.S. and international markets. Mr. Coveny is a graduate of the University of Georgia and a former U.S. Air Force Officer (Master Combat Systems Officer/Instructor) with 2400+ hours in a variety of HC/MC/C-130 platforms. Mr. Coveny also served diplomatically as a U.S. Air Force Attaché while attached to U.S. Embassy in Bogota, Colombia between 2000-2004.

Bob has led a multitude of captures while leading large diversified classified/unclassified program campaigns at Bell Flight (Textron), Lockheed Martin, FLIR Systems, and L3Harris Technologies. Forming lasting partnerships and being responsive to customers is a hallmark of his team’s success. He is a graduate of Executive Education at both Stanford University & The Wharton School of Business. 

Prior to joining Curtiss-Wright, Mr. Coveny led the BD & Marketing activities at L3Harris IMS (Integrated Mission Solutions) Segment, an $8BN business unit focused on C5ISR programs and pursuits globally.

Roark McDonald
Senior General Manager, Portland, OR

Roark McDonald leads a portfolio of small form factor tactical communications, mission computing, and networking solutions in the PacStar and Parvus product lines. Mr. McDonald joined Curtiss-Wright in October 2022, and he manages business operations at Curtiss-Wright's Portland, OR facility. Prior to joining Curtiss-Wright, Mr. McDonald served as Sr. VP & GM of Cubic Corporation's GATR Technologies. His career also includes leadership roles in Northrop Grumman.

He graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

Michael Tuffy
General Manager, Peerless & 901D

Michael has over 30 years of experience in the defense industry, and he was hired by Curtiss-Wright in 1991 as an Electrical Design Engineer. In 2004, he was promoted to Director of Engineering to supervise and lead the electrical, mechanical, and software engineering departments. Additional responsibilities included leading the purchasing, quality, and estimating departments starting in 2009.

After the acquisition of 901D in December 2019, Michael was assigned as the integration lead. In 2022, he was promoted to General Manager of Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions' facilities in East Farmingdale NY, Monsey NY, and New London CT.

Prior to joining Curtiss-Wright, Michael obtained his Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic University. Michael has participated in numerous Curtiss-Wright leadership training programs.

Darian Wong
General Manager, Aerospace Instrumentation

Darian has over 24 years of experience in the defense industry. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997 with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, received his Master's Degree (MS) in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University in 2004, and received his Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland in 2013. Darian began his career as a software engineer working on the Patriot Radar at Raytheon.

At Curtiss-Wright, he moved into a Product Management role in 2005, leading the high-performance computing software product line. In 2010, Darian moved into a Business Unit Director role managing businesses in the U.S. and the UK. Darian is currently the General Manager of the Aerospace Instrumentation group at Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions.
