As the modern battlefield experiences an increase in technologically advanced warfighting systems, the need for state-of-the-art intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities is on the rise. Relying on the latest sighting devices as well as infrared cameras, thermal imaging systems, and laser target designators requires a low latency sensor distribution system for mission success. The Multi-Sensor Rugged Video Gateway (RVG-MS1) is a military standard system designed to provide multi-input and output capability for demanding video sensor applications.

The rugged, size, weight, power, and cost (SWaP-C) optimized device is designed for use in the harsh environmental conditions that are encountered in aerospace and defense applications, and as such, has been MILSTD qualified. Part of the Rugged Video Gateway (RVG) family, the RVG-MS1 can be incorporated into space-constrained manned and unmanned platforms of all types and is seamlessly interoperable with Curtiss-Wright Video Management solutions.

Getting the most from advanced sensors that are often fitted to new or upgraded platforms depends on the operator's ability to view multiple sensor feeds, in different configurations, at the touch of a button. This functionality is built into the RVG-MS1, which receives and processes the sensor signals and outputs them to a Curtiss-Wright or similar display. With a graphical user interface (GUI) the operator can select the operational view that benefits the mission.

The range of image configuration options includes flexible picture in picture (PiP) and window overlays, while video streaming and blending capabilities provide additional end-user functionality. Furthermore, the RVG-MS1 acts as an Ethernet gateway, facilitating streaming video off platforms built to the latest vehicle architectures, such as VICTORY or GVA.
