The proliferating number of sensors onboard today's ISR platforms increases video management system complexity. As mission complexity increases so do the number of sensors onboard today's platforms. Because each sensor provides different critical information, it's imperative that operators have the ability to view multiple sensor outputs on a single display. Missions are often unique, how these outputs are configured on the display, requires flexibility and operator control.

The Curtiss-Wright Rugged Video Gateway Video Multiplexer (RVG-VM1) eases and speeds the configuration of a platform's complex video management system. With its built-in quad-channel video multiplexer and support for a wide array of analog and digital video input formats, the RVG-VM1 greatly simplifies the process of defining video display configurations that match the operator's unique mission requirements.

This enables operators to select and configure their preferred display views, providing them with flexible control over scaling, and the ability to select between quad, triple, dual, or single-screen layouts. The RVG-VM1 is also small, lightweight, and interoperable with the Curtiss-Wright RVG range enabling complex, scalable, solutions to be built quickly and easily. The entire family of RVG products is qualified to the DO-160G standard making them the only products of their class in the market that are ruggedized for the harsh environmental conditions present in aerospace and defense applications.

Highly flexible, the RVG-VM1 supports four fully independent inputs that scale and frame rate convert in any aspect ratio either maintaining the aspect ratio, stretching, or clipping the video to fit the output format window selected by the operator. Accepting a wide range of analog and digital video input formats, the RVG-VM1 provides quad, triple, dual, or single views of the input signals to a similarly wide range of view output formats.

The RVG-VM1 can be configured on the fly via its external RS-422 and CAN control interfaces or can be configured statically to support a specific mission fit.

The RVG-VM1 extends Curtiss-Wright's video management and processing product line which encompasses switching, recording, and displays.
