The Parvus mNIC-210 is a rugged industrial temp 2-port Mini-PCI Express (mPCIe) Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) Network Interface Card (NIC) designed for embedded systems deployed in harsh environments. Designed and manufactured under an AS9100-certified (aerospacegrade) quality process, the mNIC-210 provides a reliable Local Area Network (LAN) connectivity solution that is mechanically compliant with the PCIe Mini Card standard. Featuring dual Intel I210 network interfaces as well as on-board Ethernet magnetics on a single mini-PCIe card, the mNIC-210’s small form factor (SFF) delivers the network capabilities of two individual mini-PCIe NIC modules but in a single slot. Boasting a wide operating temperature range (-40 to +85°C), shock and vibration tolerance (to MIL-STD-810G) and high altitude compliance (up to 60,000 ft / 18288m) in a size, weight, power and cost (SWaP-C)-optimized design, the mNIC-210 is an ideal network control module for systems deployed on-board unmanned vehicle (UAS, UGV, UUV), helicopter, ground vehicle, and industrial applications.

Integrating well-supported Intel i210 network controllers, this miniature LAN module supports transfer rates up to 1000 Mb/s, compliance with IEEE standards (802.3, 802.3u, 802.3ab) and support for IEEE 802.3az (Energy Efficient Ethernet), 802.1AS timing, and 802.1Qav (Audio Video Bridging) capabilities. Like other rugged Curtiss-Wright products, the mNIC-210 has component ruggedization done to ensure reliability in harsh environments, include potting of components and conformal coating.

The mNIC-210 is available as an add-on integration option into Curtiss-Wright’s family of SFF rugged DuraCOR and DuraWORX modular mission processors (featuring Intel Xeon, Core i7 and Atom processors), as well as in other systems used in customer specific industrial and military applications.
