VPX3-133 3U VPX SBC with NXP Power Architecture T2080 Processor
Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions’ VPX3-133 is the latest OpenVPX compliant 3U processor that combines the performance and the advanced I/O capabilities of the NXP Power Architecture quad-core AltiVec enabled T2080 processor with an extensive I/O complement to provide the best performance per watt for a quad-core processor. Designed for space-constrained applications, the VPX3-133 represents the latest step in the evolution of rugged high-performance, highly integrated small form factor single board computers (SBCs).
The challenge of high density computing is to pack the greatest functionality into the smallest standard form factor, with the lowest power possible while retaining as much flexibility as possible. In conjunction with its processing power, the VPX3-133 easily meets this challenge by offering an impressive complement of I/O capability in order to satisfy the most demanding application needs with a low power footprint. For applications that demand the highest levels of hardware and software protection the VPX3-133 provides advanced anti-tamper and information assurance with Curtiss-Wright’s TrustedCOTS and NXP Secure Boot technologies and capabilities.
The VPX3-133’s integral high speed backplane and XMC connectivity allows for multi-GB/s data flows from board-to-board through the backplane interface and from the backplane to XMC site supporting the acquisition, processing, and distribution of sensor data such as video, radar, and sonar data. A rich I/O complement includes two Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) ports, four serial channels, up to 4 bits of LVTTL discrete digital I/O (DIO), Universal Serial Bus (USB) 2.0 ports and a XMC site with 64-bits of I/O mapped to the backplane.
The VPX3-133 is supported by a wealth of software including Curtiss-Wright’s U-Boot, VxWorks Green Hills INTEGRITY and Linux Board Support Package (BSP) and Driver Suite.
