Modern Air Data Computers can be used to solve many problems associated with the Pitot Static systems found in aging aircraft and lend themselves well to new digitally based aircraft and upgrade programs, such as the move to glass cockpit displays. Air Data Computers can not only eliminate the requirement for mechanical damping systems which reduce the effects of downwash caused by rotorcraft using digital filtering, they can also hold many configurations of Source Error Correction data and can be tailored to use inputs from specific aircraft hardware, all configurable using software. This enables the procurement of an Air Data Computer with one part number that is compatible with a fleet of different aircraft. Modern Air Data Computers can be easily optimised for Rotary and Fixed Wing applications.
The ADCM provides high accuracy data (up to +/- 0.25 Bar) consistently over long periods by using high accuracy, low drift sensors that reduce maintenance overhead. It is a custom product using technology that will forge the future of the Curtiss Wright Air Data Computer product line. It is designed using the latest high stability, low drift pressure transducer technologies and safety targeted electronics to provide a highly reliable and highly accurate Air Data Computer Module that is simple to install, operate and maintain and provides low ownership costs.
