Portable Streaming Data Recorder
The Curtiss-Wright portable streaming data recorder allows high-volume, continuous (streaming) data recording. The streaming data recorder system consisting of an industrial grade computer with a built-in Captured Data Storage (CDS) disk and exclusive Curtiss-Wright streaming data capture technology. The system supports the recording of one to four Serial FPDP ports (VITA 17.1), 1 Gbps Ethernet, or a single 10 Gbps Ethernet port protocols at line rates from sensors such as radar, sonar, FLIR, RF tuners, MRI, and cameras without interruption. Captured data is transferred to the 1 TB on-board CDS disk and may be replayed to any device that accepts the corresponding protocol of the recorded data.
Unique Data Capture & Timestamp
Time stamps are inserted into the recorded data with a resolution of 4 byte times (8-byte times for 10 Gbps Ethernet) Stamping accuracy is ±0.5microseconds in reference to a 1 s pulse. The time stamps allow the user to examine the temporal aspects of the captured data. Interpretation of the time stamps provides the relative time between events that the user chooses to examine, along with indications of the occurrences of specific events, such as an error.
Data Recording options
The Portable SDRs are available in three models to record from a variety of data transmission technologies. The sections that follow provide a brief description of each model for a particular data transmission technology that it is designed to record and playback. The SDR configuration options include one to four record/playback channels and expandable storage capacity. All channel options are available with SFP (pluggable) transceivers that allow connections to various optical media. All SDRs can interoperate with Curtiss-Wright's GLX4000 and SLX4000 Physical Layer Switches. Ethernet models can also interoperate with Curtiss-Wright's Network Attached Storage (NAS) products.
The portable streaming data recorder incorporates hardware that enables it to synchronize all channels within the data recorder. This hardware synchronizes the starting/stopping of all channels simultaneously. In addition, the synchronized channels are played back with accurate time alignment between each channel.
