Each of the KAD/EXC/101’s 10 single ended excitation outputs has a programmable output voltage within the range of 0 to 24V.
There are three types of output available on the KAD/EXC/101: one output with a current limit up to 300mA (at 24V); one output with a current limit up to 50mA (at any output voltage); and the other eight outputs each with a current limit up to 15mA (at any output voltage). The current limit on each output type is programmable.
In addition to a programmable current limit, the first output type has a fixed, fold-back current limiter. This prevents the dissipating of too much power on the internal regulating element in case an output voltage is set lower than 24V.
Once a channel is overloaded (that is, the programmed current limit or the channel 0 fold-back limit is exceeded), the channel trips (automatically switches off).
The KAD/EXC/101 provides status of individual channels: information which channel has reached current limit and which has tripped. Additionally status of main internal power supply is provided.
