KAD/ADC/135 Full/½-bridge ADC (voltage/current excitation, programmable analog gain, FIR/IIR, 6.25 kHz b/w) - 12 channels at 25 ksps
The KAD/ADC/135 is used to condition and digitize up to 12 differential-ended analog channels. At the heart of the KAD/ADC/135 is a hard-wired state-machine that oversamples all channels at a rate between 100 ksps and 200 ksps and digitally filters any noise above the user-programmable cutoff frequency.
This is achieved using cascaded, half-band, Finite-Impulse-Response (FIR) filters followed by an 8th order Butterworth Infinite-Impulse-Response (IIR) filter with a default cutoff point set at one quarter of the sampling frequency (fc = fs/4). The IIR filter is bypassed in FIR mode with samples output directly from the FIR filter. All signals are sampled simultaneously. When several channels are sampled at different sampling rates, at the start of an acquisition cycle all channels are aligned.
The KAD/ADC/135 supports programmable primary gain, excitation type (current or voltage, with compliance up to 30 mA / ±5.1V), digital filter type as well as completion resistors and high accuracy. Unlike other analog modules, the maximum input voltage range is limited to ±2.5V.
