The MBCT-553T is a MIL-STD-1553 Bus Controller (BC) Module for use in Curtiss-Wright’s MEDAU-2000 or MCDAU-2000 series products.

MBCT-553T-1 MIL-STD-1553 Bus Controller Module

The MBCT-553T is a MIL-STD-1553 Bus Controller (BC) Module for use in Curtiss-Wright’s MEDAU-2000 or MCDAU-2000 series products. As a BC, the MBCT-553 initiates all commands on the bus based on a preloaded schedule. Messages are temporarily buffered and are available for transmission in the PCM output format as “Class I PCM” (standard fixed-position), or can be monitored through the host stack’s RS-232 programming port. The module formats the input data into 1553 message words for output onto the 1553 bus. The module performs word/message validation and extensive Built-In Test (BIT), the results of which are available over the 1553 bus by the bus controller, through the host stack’s PCM output format, or via the host stack’s RS-232 programming port.
