FSM-C2X Download Station

The FSM-C2X download station provides a convenient method for retrieval of recorded mission data.

The Curtiss-Wright CNS4 data recorder comes standard with four Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) inputs. Combined with software support for Network Attached Storage (NAS) protocols (like NFS, CIFS, FTP, HTTP), the CNS4 can be used by network clients to store files. When equipped with Serial Front Panel Data Port (sFPDP) front-end, the CNS4 becomes a highspeed, streaming data recorder. This is useful in deployed applications with multiple sensors such as on-board UAVs and UUVs or in situational awareness applications.

When equipped with sFPDP, the CNS4 removable memory modules include four Curtiss-Wright flash storage modules (FSM-C2X). These rugged, removable modules, each contain 2 TB solid state disks (SSD). With four FSM-C2Xs, 8 TB of streaming data can be recorded for post mission analysis. How do you easily access such a massive amount of data quickly?

First, the FMS-C2X modules are easily removed by releasing the toolless wedge-locks. This means 8 TB of recorded data can be removed in seconds and replaced for the next mission. Second, all four modules can then be plugged into the download station so that the data can be easily retrieved by any computer with USB ports, making the files available for post mission analysis.
