A specialized tactical command unit had long relied on specialized SFF hardware, with separate hardware for Haivision Kraken managing video processing and steaming and other essential applications for mission planning and secure communications. This fragmented system created significant logistical and management challenges, including large physical footprints, excessive power consumption, and complicated maintenance.
Haivision proposed a solution to consolidate these separate systems onto a single hardware platform designed to minimize the deployment footprint while maintaining SWaP efficiency. The new platform would run Kraken and the other applications, ensuring functionality was preserved without increasing system complexity.
