The OpenVPX (VITA 65) ecosystem transitioned from Gen2 to Gen3 signaling, which brings with it an increase in signaling rates from 6.25 Gbaud to >10 Gbaud. The near doubling of bandwidth resulting from this change brings with it significant design challenges as the MultiGig connector used with OpenVPX approaches its performance limits. Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions has done extensive research to develop highly optimized 10G compliant design techniques for attaining reliable and robust signal integrity performance with Gen3 OpenVPX systems; our Fabric40 family of products is designed to address these design challenges.
