When selecting a rugged secure storage solution you must consider the three dimensions of storage.  This includes flexible I/O, scalable storage, and advanced encryption.

At the beginning of a program, typically a solution is developed to meet specific requirements.  Time and money are invested in this unique solution.

Over the long life of an aircraft program, your point solution will not be able to support the advancements in sensor technology.  A new solution requires additional time, money, and risk.

What if you can future-proof your program and mitigate risk with a data storage system that can easily adapt to changing program requirements. Designed for maximum flexibility and durability, the CNS4 is a compact network recording and storage system with support for a wide range of I/O, up to 8 TB of removable SSD storage, and advanced encryption, all within a single, robust, and environmentally-qualified sealed box that is suitable for deployment in harsh environments.

Designed for compatibility with modern avionics systems, the CNS4 has 4 x 1 Gigabit or 2 x 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports as well as a 3U VPX slot for additional I/O to ensure the system is easily modified to suit the application.  With support for high definition video and FLIR as well as sFPDP, MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC (pronounced air-ink) 429, both new and legacy protocol IO support is as easy as installing the right card.

The CNS4 has four, 2 TB slots available for removable storage, for up to 8 TB.  Based on an industry-standard 2.5 inch SSD, the CNS4 provides system design flexibility, low obsolescence risk, and increasing capacities over time.

The storage modules are accessible via a tool-less locking lever, ensuring they can be easily removed, even with gloves.  The durable, high insertion cycle connector enables up to 100,000 seamless removals and insertions of the modules making sure you can remove them for post-mission analysis and playback

With support for AES-256, FIPS 140-2, NSA Type 1 encryptors, and advanced key management, the CNS4 allows designers to address multiple levels of encryption while using a single technology base, therefore, reducing program costs. Multiple units can be purchased with a base configuration and changes can be handled in-house as the platform requires.

The CNS4 can be configured to suit a range of requirements

It can be used as a rugged, multi-channel sensor data recorder for capturing sFPDP and video for surveillance and 360 situational awareness systems.

It  can capture and secure Fibre Channel data and can support the highest levels of data-at-rest encryption

Or it can be used as a high-bandwidth network file server with secure data-at-rest for signals intelligence.

The CNS4 is a compact network recording and storage system designed for maximum flexibility.  With support for a wide range of I/O, up to 8 TB of removable SSD storage, and flexible encryption options, the CNS4 will future proof your program and reduce risk.
