Air Data Computers
Aircraft rely heavily on proven air data computers (ADCs) to provide trusted airspeed and altitude parameters that are essential to safe and efficient operation. Our selection of ADCs leverages high-accuracy sensors and high-TRL, fully rugged designs to provide stable data, while digital filtering technology reduces pneumatic noise in air pressure to mitigate rotor downwash effects without adding weight like a mechanical solution would.
Rotorcraft Fleet Logistics Optimization
Curtiss-Wright has over 50 years’ experience developing air data systems and has evolved its line of ADCs to include features that address the unique requirements for rotorcraft operations. Learn how we helped an operator of a diverse fleet of rotorcraft address their need for reliable air data computers that would perform on various missions.

All aircraft require air data computers. Fixed-wing, helicopters, and even unmanned aircraft require them under certain regulations.
This is Wilbur. Wilbur orders parts for a fleet of aircraft with many different aircraft types.
Wilbur must order air data computers with different part numbers containing different configuration settings for each aircraft.
Don’t panic Wilbur!
If only you could reduce the number of parts and part numbers you keep track of in your inventory.
There is a solution! Wilbur can opt for a Curtiss-Wright Enhanced Software Configurable Air Data Unit (ESCADU).
The ESCADU holds 15 configurations for 15 different aircraft in one unit…with only ONE part number.
When the unit is installed, it knows which aircraft it is on and which software configuration to load on startup using pin strapping.
