DTU-7004-1 High Speed Rackmount Download Unit

The DTU-7004-1 is a 19-inch rack-mounted data transfer unit that supports up to four RMM-700X(C)-1 media cartridges. Recorded data on an RMM-700X(C)-1 cartridge in an nREC-7000-1 is recovered by placing the cartridge in the DTU-7004-1 and downloading the data using a Thunderbolt 3 interface.

Each RMM cartridge can download data at a speed of 2 Gbps or greater. Thunderbolt 3 outputs can be daisy-chained together and are backward-compatible with older Thunderbolt 3 interface cards. The DTU-7004-1 is capable of downloading from all drives
simultaneously without a loss of performance.

The DTU-7004-1 is supported by the Media Manager software utility, which allows access, read, copy, delete, and format data capabilities on the installed media cartridges. The cartridges can be individually addressed. Typical data types for RMMs are ext4 and STANAG-4575.
