The High-Performance Embedded Computing (HPEC) Development Platform decomposes the data center's high-performance computing (HPC) environment and recomposes it as a rugged, SWaP-efficient development system for rapid application development using deployable hardware.

HPEC Development Platform

HPEC is Curtiss-Wright's application of High-Performance Computing technologies to the rugged COTS computing market. HPEC (High-Performance Embedded Computing) includes many of the same data flow and computational challenges as HPC but addresses them within the context of SWaP constrained military embedded computing. The Continuum HPEC Platform using OpenVPX technology from Curtiss-Wright is an ideal starting point for the development of high-performance back-end sensor processors. It allows programs to select unique board configurations which address their own processing and IO requirements but are unified under a common software platform. Curtiss-Wright offers both VxWorks and Linux software stacks for CPU, GPGPU, and FPGA computing elements unified with a distributed system fabric.

Fabric40 encompasses all aspects of a high-speed HPEC system: from signal acquisition and front-end processing, through powerful FPGA, DSP and GPGPU processing engines, with data flows through interconnecting switches and backplanes and wrapped together with powerful middleware software to simplify your applications development
