KAM/CHS/04L Acra KAM-500 Chassis, Narrow Form - 4 User-Slots
The KAM/CHS/04L is a compact four-user-slot Acra KAM-500 chassis, which along with the housing and backplane, includes a KAM/PSU/006 power supply unit.
The backplane has four slots for user modules, which are polarized to prevent the insertion of the backplane controller module. The backplane has power supply lines and the standard 16-bit address/data bus with read/write control lines. The only ICs on the backplane are demultiplexers for user-module select signal.
The KAM/CHS/04L does not contain any ±7V lines for excitation.
Aerospace Instrumentation Brochure
Modern aerospace instrumentation systems can be highly complex, and it can be difficult to know how to meet program needs. It’s not unusual for requirements to change during a campaign and cause significant delays, and data must be captured reliably no matter what – otherwise expensive additional flights will be needed or months of program data could be lost. Read our brochure to learn how you can reduce your risk with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions.

Synchronous and Asynchronous Data Sources in Data Acquisition Systems
Data acquisition systems typically gather data from two kinds of sources – synchronous and asynchronous sources. In this knowledge packets video, David Buckley talks about what this means and how to best capture this data to ensure data coherency.
